"Mens sana in corpore sano" (Juvenal)

Energy Nutrition

Drinking and eating with the sun and according to daily activities.

Matines or Brahma Muhurta: 1 hour 36 minutes before sunrise. Why is it important? Because:

Physically, that is when the sun rays tangentially enter the sky before they become more direct and we start seeing the sun. Spiritually, at that time, people of the night usually finally go to sleep and people of the day are barely waking up. There is less distortion and projected thought forms in the air and planet atmosphere which facilitate meditation, contemplation and astral communication in various ways.

If your vitality is good and/or your kundalini is not activated, you might want to meditate fasting and skip the first intake below so the spiritual process goes deeper into the cellular level.

If your vitality is poor and/or your kundalini is activated, you might want to take a very light intake to stabilize the sugar input to the brain and diminish the fire and/or acidity in the stomach. The intake will be out of the stomach by 20 minutes during which one should be sitting (until one feels the stomach emptying in the digestive track below), and support the rest of the meditation comfortably when reaching deeper levels.

A breakfast must be supporting but not too heavy.

A lunch must be the heaviest meal of the day.

A diner must be light to allow a period of fasting for detox overnight.

04:00 AM snack

water with ghur (unprocessed brown sugar) or lemon or soaked chia or soaked barley

fresh fruits or soaked dry fruits and their water

6-10 soaked almonds or another nut or seed type

08:00 Break-fast (please note the wording)

Fresh fruit or soaked dry fruit in porridge

alternate between pearl barley, steel cut oats, buckwheat, tapioca, millets or organic wheat

(soak grain overnight to reduce cooking time)

12:00 Lunch

Fresh salad ½ plate

Chapati, roti, flat bread, pancakes, rice ¼ plate

Lentils, hummus, tahini on bread, ¼ plate

16:00 PM snack or Diner

Fresh fruits or soaked dry fruits and their juice

Vegetables with coriander sauce

Sattu drink (roasted Bengal gram flour)

20:00 Diner or Snack

quinoa and lentils mix, seed mix, roasted and added to it

steamed vegetables

left over roti/chapati/flat bread/pankakes from lunch

buttermilk in kichari or alternatively

milk before bedtime with cinnamon or turmeric

00:00 Midnight snack

roasted nuts, dry fruits, roasted plantain chips

fresh or dry apples help with stomach acidity

**If diabetes is there, the fruits should be accompanied by nuts to diminish the absorption rapidity, hence the insulin spike.**

**if gall bladder was removed, remember that smaller meals more often is easier to digest due to the absence of the gallbladder. The bile cannot be stored in big amount and when eating big meals, there is not enough bile to digest properly.**

Eventually you will feel how many meals per day you need and how much per meal.

As you connect more and more spiritually, your vitality will maintain itself more easily and meals will naturally lessen in quantity and in size, exactly like a breastfeeding baby slowly do full nights and longer time between feedings.

The schedule should be adjusted to sunrise and sunset as well as seasonal variations if possible. Digestion is best when the sun is up so I prefer to skip the 16:00 snack and each my diner at 18:00 personally. This is based on eating every 4 hours for intensely activated kundalini, it slowly reduces to every 6 hours, then every 8 hours as we learn how to manage the inner fire. The early morning and midnight intakes are obviously optional.

Remember that what we are eating must contain live energy, so fresh water, fresh or soaked dry fruits and fresh vegetables are a must. For dry fruits, the fresh water they soak in brings the energy back. The caloric intake is not as important as the inherent coronal discharge energy (aura, prana, Qi) in the food eaten as per Kirlian photography. To try it is to experience it unless one's vitality is so low that eating raw food is too difficult to process. Slowly but surely one can still do small changes every week and see the vitality recover gradually. Trying raw food at lunch first when digestion is at its best.

Time of digestion approximation as it varies with the strength of the manipura chakra and how much meditation you make that can put the body close to a hibernation mode:

fruits ½ hour

cooked vegetables ½ to ¾ hour

raw vegetables 1 hour

lentils 2 hours

grains 3-4 hours

milk products 4-8 hours

Good, better and best, no salt, no processed sugar and no oil will go a great length in bringing the body to a steady self-maintenance functioning, avoiding the pendulum between detox and rejuvenation, as that rejuvenation often brings back the bad habit just overcome in the last detox phase.

A diet is rarely needed, a new stable lifestyle is really what the body requires.
